Emir Mohammadu Sunusi II, the 16th Emir of Kano, has made his first appointment by approving Hamisu Sani as the new Ward Head of Kofar Mazugal in Dala Local Government Area of the state.

Emir Sunusi emphasized the importance of peaceful coexistence among the subjects in the area and urged the new ward head to contribute to the overall development of the state.

During this significant occasion, district heads, religious leaders, and market representatives paid homage to Emir Sanusi at the Palace. Delegations included members of the Ansarulddeen Tijjanniya sect and traders from the Kano popular textile market (Kantin Kwari) and the commodities market (Singer market).

Emir Sanusi II’s reinstatement occurred on May 23 after the Kano State House of Assembly and Governor Abba Yusuf repealed and assented to the Kano State Emirates Councils (Repeal) Bill 2024, reaffirming his position as the 16th Emir of Kano. (NAN)
