Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State has labeled himself as the most criticized individual in the state, yet he has maintained his composure amidst significant provocations.
He has called for the state's populace to stay peaceful and let harmony prevail, as he is averse to conflict.
This statement follows his ongoing dispute with his predecessor and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike.
Fubara and Wike have been in a dispute concerning the political dominance and resources of the state.
Even with President Bola Tinubu's mediation efforts, the governor proclaimed victory over his adversaries.
He observed that his political opponents within the state are now vigilant and uneasy.
Nonetheless, at the inauguration of the Elele-Omoku Road construction on Thursday, Fubara remarked: "In truth, I am the most criticized, 'naive governor who doesn't know how to wield power,' right?
"Have I responded? So, please bear with it until you're done, then you can leave, I don't want any conflict."
The governor pledged to prevent his opponents from instigating political unrest in the state.
Fubara conveyed to Tinubu his commitment to a peaceful approach and his intention to uphold that commitment.
