Ribadu Denies Involvement in Ex-Emir's Return to Kano

Yusuf's Deputy, Aminu Gwarzo, accused Ribadu of aiding Bayero's return to the palace by arranging two private jets for him
Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser (NSA), on Saturday, distanced himself from claims that he played a role in the return of the ousted Emir, Aminu Bayero, to Kano.
Bayero arrived in Kano early Saturday and took residence in a palace within Nassarawa LGA, while the restored Emir, Muhammad Sanusi II, remained in the main palace.
This incident has caused noticeable unrest in Kano.
The governor of Kano, Abba Yusuf, commanded the arrest of Bayero following his entry into the city, which he believes has escalated the tension.
Yusuf's Deputy, Aminu Gwarzo, accused Ribadu of aiding Bayero's return to the palace by arranging two private jets for him.
"The national security adviser provided two jets to transport the former emir back to Kano and to his residence. Their motives are unclear to us," stated Gwarzo.
Contrarily, Ribadu's spokesperson, Zakari Mijinyawa, refuted these claims in a press release.
"The allegations circulating on social media are false. The NSA did not facilitate any air transportation for anyone to Kano."
"Political figures should avoid spreading misinformation as the state's law enforcement works diligently to preserve peace and stability," the press release noted.
