President Tinubu departed from Nigeria last month for official visits to the Netherlands and Saudi Arabia. These visits concluded on April 29, 2024, yet his return has been delayed, leading to inquiries from the Nigerian public.


Following a period of uncertainty regarding President Bola Tinubu's location, the Presidency has confirmed his return to Nigeria is set for Wednesday.


Bayo Onanuga, the President's Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, made the announcement via a post on his X account on Tuesday.


He stated that the President has been in Europe and is expected to arrive back in the country accompanied by his aides.


His post read: “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, together with his aides, is slated to come back to Nigeria tomorrow from Europe.”


President Tinubu departed from Nigeria last month for official visits to the Netherlands and Saudi Arabia. These visits concluded on April 29, 2024, yet his return has been delayed, leading to inquiries from the Nigerian public.


On April 22, Presidential Spokesman Ajuri Ngelale released a statement revealing that President Tinubu was set to commence an official visit to the Netherlands and participate in the World Economic Forum in Saudi Arabia.


Ngelale mentioned that the visit to the Netherlands came at the invitation of Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte.


He also mentioned that President Tinubu was scheduled for high-level talks with the Prime Minister and other activities, such as the Nigerian-Dutch Business and Investment Forum.


Additionally, President Tinubu was due to attend a special World Economic Forum (WEF) session planned for April 28-29 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.


During this global gathering of more than 1,000 leaders from the realms of business, government, and academia, President Tinubu and his delegation aimed to partake in dialogues that align with his Renewed Hope Agenda for Nigeria.
