The 'Zazzu' singer had acquired a Mercedes Benz GLE 350 from Ogunsanwo Temitope (Temmy Autos), an auto dealer in Lagos, but did not finalize the payment.
Reports indicate that Portable had only remitted N13 million for the car, valued at N27 million, and allegedly declined to pay the remaining N14 million.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Public Relations Officer for the Lagos State Police, verified the musician's release to Vanguard on Wednesday evening.
In response to inquiries about whether Portable had resolved the payment issue, the spokesperson stated, “I am not aware of that, but he has indeed been granted bail.”
