The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) headquarters in Edo State has been engulfed by flood just a few months before the scheduled governorship election on September 21.

Recently, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) established a 152-member national campaign council in anticipation of the upcoming state gubernatorial election.

The Labour Party has also set up a campaign council, poised to navigate the electoral process on September 21.

A total of seventeen political parties have nominated candidates for the governorship race, and the electoral commission is gearing up for the event.
