President Bola Tinubu has confirmed the appointment of Ekperikpe Ekpo, the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), as the Co-Chairman of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB).
The announcement was made by Ajuri Ngelale, the President's Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, in a statement on Thursday.
The statement highlighted that this appointment is aimed at enhancing the management of the gas sector of the nation's resources.
President Tinubu, demonstrating his dedication to creating a more streamlined and reliable process for approving distinctive oil and gas projects, has sanctioned the appointment of Mr. Ekperikpe Ekpo to the co-chair position of the NCDMB's Governing Council.
This move is also intended to bolster the supervision of the nation's gas resources.
The President continues to focus on tapping into Nigeria's vast gas reserves to drive industrial growth, generate employment, and promote sustained economic advancement, as per the statement.
