Paris 2024: NFF considers Spain as training base for Super Falcons |
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is contemplating Spain as the training base for the Super Falcons in preparation for the 2024 Olympic Games.
Reports from NigeriaFootball.ng suggest that the NFF is keen on having the team train in Spain to get used to the climate conditions in France.
The team, coached by Randy Waldrum, is set to train in Spain from July 5 to 16.
The nine-time African champions are slated to participate in a high-profile friendly match during their stay in Spain.
At the Paris 2024 Olympics, the Super Falcons are grouped with World champions Spain, Japan, and Brazil in Group C.
Their opening match will be against Brazil at Stade de Bordeaux on July 25, followed by a match against Spain on July 28 in Nantes, and then Japan on July 31 at the same location.
The Olympic Games are scheduled to take place from July 25 to August 10, 2024.
