Obasanjo Encourages Adeleke to Merge Governance with His Signature Dance Moves |
In a recent event, Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo commended Governor Ademola Adeleke's commitment to infrastructure in Osun State, highlighting its potential to draw investments. He also emphasized the importance of maintaining the state's existing peace and calm.
At the inauguration of the Government House VIP Lodge in Osogbo, Obasanjo encouraged Governor Adeleke to overlook the criticism over his dancing, advising him to continue blending his unique dance flair with his ongoing infrastructure projects.
Obasanjo remarked, "Critics may scorn your dancing, but it's the joyful who dance, and you're indeed a joyful partner. Anyone questioning your dedication need only witness Osun's transformation firsthand."
He further advised the governor to align developmental initiatives with public interest, as such alignment would foster investment and stimulate the state's progress and development.
"Creating a conducive environment for our industrious populace will open up employment opportunities for our vibrant youth," he added.
Governor Adeleke, on his part, shared that completing the lodge, initiated by the prior administration, was driven by a commitment to maximizing the state's investments.
He stated, "Public infrastructure should transcend political lines. It's about continuity and serving the public interest, not party politics. This lodge, started by an APC-led government and completed under my PDP administration, exemplifies our dedication to best practices."
Adeleke also noted the project's significance in reducing government expenditure, saying, "As we aim to lower the costs of governance, this facility marks a significant step towards fiscal prudence, especially in accommodating distinguished guests visiting our state."
