The community of Ukehe in Enugu State has gathered at St. Peter’s Catholic Parish to bid farewell to the beloved Nollywood star, John Odonwodo, affectionately known as Junior Pope. The revered actor, aged 43, tragically lost his life in a boating mishap on the Anam River on April 10, along with four others, while they were on their way back from filming.
The Odonwodo family had previously announced that the actor's final resting place would be in his ancestral home of Uwala Abaka, Ukehe, situated within the Nsukka region's Igboetiti Local Government Area. The burial ceremony is set for May 17, as the film industry and fans alike mourn the loss of a cinematic icon.
