Hazel Oyeze Onou, widely known as Whitemoney, a reality TV personality and musician, has declared that his musical talent is unrivaled by any Nigerian artist.
He believes that many Nigerian musicians are not lyrically profound.
In a recent dialogue with fellow reality star Doyin, Whitemoney expressed his indifference to criticism.
"I'm a pioneer in my own right. I've forged a unique sound and don't consider my peers as influences. I may not be the best, but I'm second to none.
No musician crafts tunes quite like mine. Their music doesn't resonate with me purposefully. Thus, when you attempt to belittle me, thinking it harms me, you're actually benefiting me. Keep it up. Persist.
"I reject labels and refuse to be pigeonholed. The so-called big 3 are of no concern to me. I am the big 1. My talent is unparalleled. What I'm set to bring to the industry will make believers out of skeptics. I'm not entering the music scene merely as an artist; I'm also approaching it as an entrepreneur, with plans to establish my own record label in the foreseeable future."
