The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has forecasted a mix of sunshine and cloudiness from Monday to Wednesday throughout the country.

The forecast included isolated thunderstorms in parts of Taraba state during the morning and localized thunderstorms with rainfall across areas of Borno, Adamawa, Bauchi, Gombe, Katsina, Zamfara, Kaduna, and Taraba states.


Cloudy skies with periods of sunshine are expected over the North Central region, with the possibility of isolated thunderstorms in parts of Benue state in the morning.


By afternoon and evening, localized thunderstorms are likely over areas of the Federal Capital Territory, Niger, Plateau, Kwara, and Nasarawa states.


The southern states should anticipate cloudy conditions with chances of morning thunderstorms and rain in parts of Abia, Ebonyi, Ondo, Delta, Lagos, Cross River, and Akwa Ibom states.


Later in the day, thunderstorms with rainfall are forecasted for regions of Imo, Abia, Ogun, Osun, Ondo, Ekiti, Ebonyi, Enugu, Edo, Lagos, Bayelsa, Rivers, Delta, Cross River, and Akwa Ibom states.


For Tuesday, NiMet expects sunny conditions with some cloudiness over the northern region and the likelihood of isolated thunderstorms with rain in parts of Adamawa and Taraba states in the morning.


Later, isolated thunderstorms with rain are predicted for Kaduna, Kebbi, Zamfara, Bauchi, Borno, Adamawa, and Taraba states.


The North Central region is anticipated to have cloudy skies with intervals of sunshine and potential isolated thunderstorms over the Federal Capital Territory, Kogi, and Benue state in the morning.


In the afternoon and evening, isolated thunderstorms with rain are expected over the Federal Capital Territory, Niger, Nasarawa, Kwara, Kogi, and Plateau states.


The South is forecasted to have cloudy skies with chances of isolated thunderstorms with rain over Delta, Cross River, and Akwa Ibom states in the morning.


NiMet predicts isolated thunderstorms with rain over Enugu, Imo, Abia, Oyo, Anambra, Ebonyi, Edo, Osun, Ondo, Delta, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, and Rivers states later in the day.
