President Bola Ahmed Tinubu inaugurated the expansion of the AHL Gas Processing Plant in Kwale-Delta State, the ANOH Gas Processing Plant, and the 23.3km ANOH to Obiafu-Obrikom-Oben (OB3) Custody Transfer Metering Station Gas Pipeline Projects in Ohaji-Egbema, Imo State.
Oilserv Limited's Managing Director, Engr. Nnanna Anyanwu, has indicated that Nigeria's economy stands to gain significantly from the augmented use of domestic natural gas for electricity production and as a raw material for gas-dependent industries.
Following the inauguration of three vital gas infrastructure developments, Anyanwu noted that this would also support Nigeria's rapid modernization given its plentiful gas reserves.

Tinubu confirmed the federal government's commitment to leveraging its vast gas resources to foster industrial advancement and economic growth.
The Oilserv MD, in a conversation with reporters at the event, took pride in the company's notable role in Nigeria's shift to cleaner energy sources, in line with the national 'Decade of Gas' campaign.
Anyanwu highlighted that the successful completion of the Assa Process Treatment Facility, the OB3 CTMS, and the broad export pipeline demonstrates Oilserv's dedication to meeting project deadlines, prioritizing safety, and upholding standards of quality and excellence.
"Oilserv's efforts have not only expanded our infrastructure capacity and technical know-how but have also increased our competitiveness on a global scale. This project, importantly, brings considerable value to our clientele," he stated.
Yet, he criticized the lack of infrastructure to fully exploit Nigeria's vast gas resources and voiced optimism that the federal government, via NNPCL, would embark on more strategically vital gas projects for the nation's benefit.
