Fast-rising Nigerian singer Emuemu Goodnews, popularly known as Gnewzy, has been released by his kidnappers after a six-day ordeal. The singer was abducted in Delta State on Monday after performing at a nightclub, with his captors demanding a ransom of $200,000 (over N220 million).

Gnewzy, known for his hit single "Sneakers," was signed to Eric Many Records in December 2023. He is currently receiving medical care and recuperating from his ordeal.
