Acting on credible intelligence, troops laid an ambush near the Lawanti area, neutralizing six terrorists in a shoot-out. In a separate operation, troops set up an ambush at a suspected terrorists' crossing point near Shetimari, Sabon-Gari, and the Amarwa Bulamari Exchange Point in Bama Local Government Area.
The Nigerian Army's counter-terrorism operations in the North East, in collaboration with the Hybrid Force and the Civilian Joint Task Force, resulted in the elimination of seven terrorists in Borno State.

During this engagement, one terrorist was killed, while others fled the scene. The troops remain committed to combating terrorism and ensuring safety and security in troubled areas. They recovered a General Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG) and 40 rounds of 7.62 x 51 mm belted ammunition after overpowering the terrorists in the gun battle.
