NECO Confirms No Extension for 2024 SSCE Internal Registration Deadline |
According to Sani, the registration process, which began on Monday, December 18, 2023, is set to conclude on Monday, June 3, 2024.
The National Examinations Council (NECO) has announced that the deadline for the 2024 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) internal registration remains unchanged.
This clarification was made in a statement issued in Abuja on Thursday by Mr Azeez Sani, the Acting Director of the Directorate of Information and Digital Communication.
According to Sani, the registration process, which began on Monday, December 18, 2023, is set to conclude on Monday, June 3, 2024.
He noted that a period for late registration, subject to a late fee, is scheduled from Tuesday, June 4, until Monday, June 10.
Sani urged all candidates, school principals, commandants, state education departments, and other concerned parties to ignore any social media claims suggesting an extension of the registration deadline to Monday, June 20.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) has reported that the 2024 SSCE Internal is slated to start on June 19 and will wrap up on July 26, with candidates being evaluated across 76 subjects. (NAN)
