President Bola Tinubu is set to address the National Assembly members in a joint session on Wednesday, as declared by the National Assembly clerk, Sani Tambawal.

"To inform the Distinguished Senators and Honourable Members, in observance of the 25th anniversary of uninterrupted democracy and legislative process in Nigeria, a joint session of the Senate and the House of Representatives is scheduled for Wednesday, May 29, 2024.
All Distinguished Senators and Honourable Members should be present by 9 a.m.," the announcement stated.
Recalling President Tinubu's directive, a subdued observance of his initial year in office was requested.
"President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR is slated to address the joint assembly on the nation's affairs and inaugurate the National Assembly Library."
