Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has issued a stern warning to instigators of discord to alter their course of action, as his government is poised to implement strict measures to penalize those who disrupt the state's peace and unity, which has been maintained since he took office.
During a session with the newly appointed leaders of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Kaduna, Governor Sani expressed gratitude for the joint efforts of the Islamic organization Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) and CAN in promoting harmony.
He called on religious figures to proactively promote peace and unity among their congregations, acknowledging their significant influence within the community.
Governor Sani reaffirmed his dedication to delivering on the pledges made during his electoral campaign, recognizing the strategic significance of Kaduna as a central location in Northern Nigeria.
He further declared his commitment to aiding religious leaders by supplying vehicles to facilitate their travel across the state to disseminate messages of peace and unity.
Reverend Celeb Maaji, the newly elected chairman of Kaduna CAN, commended the Governor's accomplishments within his first year in office, highlighting the Governor's unprecedented participation in a Christmas carol event last year as a testament to exemplary leadership.
Reverend Maaji conveyed the Christian community's backing for Governor Sani's governance and appealed to the Governor to reintroduce Christian-oriented initiatives such as the pilgrims board and Bible quiz contests in the state.
