| Kidnappers murder 6-year-old child despite receiving feeding fee, persist in demanding ransom |
The Adamawa State Police revealed on Friday that the culprits swiftly took what they termed feeding fees from the boy's parents while awaiting the ransom payment.
In Adamawa State, two individuals were apprehended for the abduction and murder of a young boy, and they continued to demand a ransom, to which they have admitted.

In a statement by police spokesperson, Suleiman Nguroje, the command reported that on May 5th, 2024, they were notified by Edwin Eze, a Tudun Wada resident in Ganye LGA, that at approximately 1:00 am on the same day, abductors broke into his residence and abducted his 6-year-old son, Eboka Edwin.
The Command, citing Edwin Eze, stated that the abductors later contacted him via phone and demanded a ransom of N10 million, and that the kidnappers also demanded and received N152,000 for the child's upkeep.
"Based on this information, the Commissioner of Police for the Adamawa State Command, CP Dankombo Morris, deployed detectives led by SP Mohammed Yahaya Nuhu, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ganye, to save the child," the Command declared.
The Command further stated that the team promptly apprehended two suspects: Muktar Mohammed and Hussein Suleiman, both 20 years old and residents of Bashin Village in Yoro Local Government Area, Taraba State.
The Command detailed, "During the initial investigation, the suspects confessed to conspiring and abducting the child to a forest on the border between Nigeria and Cameroon.
"They disclosed that they murdered the child by causing fatal injuries with a knife, leading to his death from blood loss. Subsequently, they interred the body in a shallow grave and continued to extort ransom until they were captured."
Three mobile phones were seized from the suspects.
The Command conveyed that while the state's police commissioner extends his condolences to the grieving family, he also reiterated the Command's dedication to fighting crime in all its forms.
