| Kidnapped Dangote Cement Employees Released |

The abducted employees of Dangote Cement Company in Okpella, Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State, have been liberated.
According to DAILY POST, their release came after a two-week captivity.

An anonymous local claimed the ransom was paid in the Kabba region of Kogi State.
It was reported that the ransom covered eight individuals, following the earlier rescue of four by security forces.
Two among the eight released are undergoing treatment due to the ordeal they faced with the kidnappers.

The report also recollects that the 12 abductees were en route to Okpella town from the factory in a Coaster bus when they were seized.
SP Chidi Nwabuzor, Edo State Police Command's spokesperson, confirmed their release but was unaware of any ransom payment.
Contrary to reports, Nwabuzor stated that only seven, not twelve, were kidnapped.
He noted that security forces, vigilantes, and hunters had previously rescued four, and the kidnappers released the remaining three recently.
The four rescued earlier suffered gunshot wounds from their captors.
