| Kano: Governor Yusuf Delivers Reinstatement Letter to Emir Sanusi |
On Friday, while presenting the letter, the governor expressed, “We are reinstating Sanusi due to our belief that he was unjustly treated in 2019.
Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has officially delivered the reinstatement letter to Muhammadu Sanusi II, the 16th Emir of Kano.
On Friday, while presenting the letter, the governor expressed, “We are reinstating Sanusi due to our belief that he was unjustly treated in 2019.
“We are also reinstating him as the legitimate Emir of Kano, so he may resume the excellent work he has been doing for the benefit of the Kano people.”
Regarding the legislative actions that culminated in Sanusi's return, the governor declared, “Once a Bill is enacted, it becomes law and is unalterable.”
“The decision to reappoint you was based on a shared conviction of your capability, commitment, and enthusiasm for the progress of Kano State and its surroundings.
“As you reclaim your position as the leader of the Kano Emirate of Kano State, let the principles of Islam, which you are celebrated for, guide your actions,” he continued.
Yusuf encouraged Sanusi to mend the Ibrahim Dabo family ties and to further unite the Islamic communities into a single body of worshippers of Allah.
