As Nigeria celebrates Workers' Day, the Kaduna State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called for a probe into the unjust sacking of over 27,000 workers during the administration of Nasir El-Rufai. In a statement, State Publicity Secretary Abraham Alberah Catoh urged the Kaduna State House of Assembly's committee investigating the past administration's expenditure to also investigate the mass sacking of workers without payment of their entitlements.
The PDP rejected the "bastardization" of the civil service in the state and expressed solidarity with Kaduna workers and all Nigerian workers for their resilience and commitment. The party reiterated its commitment to supporting good governance and reducing the plight of workers, who are the bedrock of the governance structure and economic development.
