Insecurity: We Cannot Be Defeated – Sultan Advises Badaru

The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar, has urged Nigerians to embrace their challenges and actively seek solutions.

While welcoming the Minister of Defence, Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, at his palace on Friday, the Sultan stated, “We cannot allow anyone to defeat us.

“It's an honor to welcome him as the premier security officer of the nation. Without security, our endeavors are futile.

“Badaru is well aware of the significance of his role. I trust he has been engaging with stakeholders for support. We are collaborating closely and will persist in this effort.

“Engaging in dialogue provides solutions to our many issues. Dialogue remains the optimal solution to any problem.

“Yes, we face challenges, but I am confident these challenges will strengthen us. Let's acknowledge our challenges and strive to overcome them. Always move forward. We cannot let anyone defeat us,” he asserted.

The Sultan guaranteed that the traditional leaders would exert all efforts to ensure peace and stability within the nation.

He also called for ongoing support for security personnel, who, he noted, have been sacrificing their lives for the nation.

Previously, the Minister, also the ex-Governor of Jigawa state, mentioned his visit to Sokoto was to meet with troops and understand how to enhance their operations, ensuring continued peace in Sokoto and across the nation.

“We seek your prayers and guidance to better our services,” he expressed.

The Minister also met with Governor Ahmed Aliyu, reaffirming their dedication to resolving the nation's security issues.

He praised the state government for their unwavering support of security forces.

“Your commitment and support in our quest for peace in Nigeria is recognized and appreciated.”
