The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) had previously reported on Sunday the passing of Tawalkatu Busare Alako, a Kebbi State pilgrim, in Makkah.


A second pilgrim from Kebbi has succumbed to a brief illness in Mecca, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Muhammad Suleman, hailing from the Argungu Local Government Area, is the latest pilgrim to pass away following a short illness.


Alhaji Faruku Aliyu-Enabo, the Executive Chairman of the Kebbi Pilgrims Welfare Board, made the announcement in a statement to the press in Mecca on Sunday.


He stated: “The pilgrim passed away on Sunday after a short illness, and his funeral prayer was conducted at the Al-Masjid Al-Haram (Ka’aba).


"He was interred following Islamic customs on the same day.


"On behalf of the Kebbi State Government, we extend our deepest sympathies to his family, fellow Kebbi pilgrims, and all residents of the state.


"We beseech the Almighty Allah to pardon his transgressions and bestow upon his soul, and the souls of all departed Muslims, Jannatul Firdaus.


The chairman implored the deceased's family to embrace the divine decree with faith, noting that every life has its destined span. (NAN)
