The PGA Tour has announced the passing of American golfer Grayson Murray at the age of 30.

PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan expressed on Saturday, "It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Grayson Murray this morning."


"Words cannot adequately express our sorrow. The PGA Tour is akin to a family, and the loss of one of our own is deeply saddening. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences go out to Grayson's family and friends."


Details regarding the cause of death have not been made public.


The PGA Tour has indicated that bereavement counsellors will be provided for players present at the tournament.
