FRSC Reports Seven Fatalities in Ibadan-Iseyin Road Collision |

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has verified that seven individuals lost their lives in a traffic collision on the Ibadan-Iseyin road last Thursday evening.
The FRSC's Public Relations Officer for the Oyo Sector Command, Mr. Mayowa Odewo, reported that the victims comprised five male adults, one female adult, and one female child.
Odewo noted that out of the 22 individuals involved in the accident, 15 sustained injuries of various severities.
The collision, which involved a Nissan Urvan commercial bus with the registration number SEY 254 ZY and a Mazda commercial bus with the registration number LGB 343 XA, was attributed to excessive speed and driver fatigue.
Odewo mentioned that the 13 injured individuals, including three male adults, nine female adults, and one female child, have been transported to a local hospital for treatment.
He also stated that the families have claimed four of the seven deceased victims, while the other three have been placed in a morgue.
The Motor Traffic Division (MTD) Police Division from Moniya, Ibadan, has taken over the custody of the two vehicles involved in the crash, as well as the bags and other personal items retrieved from the casualties.
He reminded drivers to comply with traffic laws and heed road safety warnings to avoid similar tragic incidents, as reported by NAN.
