The Board of FirstBank of Nigeria Limited has named Ebenezer Olufowose, a Non-Executive Director, as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors. This decision comes after the successful completion of Tunde Hassan-Odukale's 12-year tenure.
In a notice to the Nigerian Stock Exchange, the bank's Acting Company Secretary, Adewale Arogundade, made the announcement. The completion of the cumulative 12-year term for a Non-Executive Director, in accordance with the Central Bank of Nigeria's Corporate Governance Guidelines, led to this change.

His banking career began in 1985 at NAL Merchant Bank Plc (NAL), where he worked in the Corporate Planning and Finance Departments.
