The counterfeit foreign currencies were transferred to the EFCC's Assistant Commander, Oguzi Moses, while the UAVs and other military hardware were received by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 81 Division, Nigerian Army, Major General Muhammad Usman.

At the Murtala Muhammed International Airport Command in Ikeja, Lagos, the Nigeria Customs Service handed over confiscated fake $1.2 million notes and five cryptocurrency machines to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Additionally, the Command delivered 148 Unmanned Area Vehicles (UAVs), commonly known as drones, along with 112 military hardware items, including accessories, two bulletproof helmets, and two Army vests, to the 81 Division of the Nigerian Army in Lagos.

The counterfeit foreign currencies were transferred to the EFCC's Assistant Commander, Oguzi Moses, while the UAVs and other military hardware were received by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 81 Division, Nigerian Army, Major General Muhammad Usman. According to the Customs Area Controller, Compt. Charles Orbih, this action aligns with the directive from the Comptroller General of the NCS, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi.

Notably, the importers of the UAVs failed to provide an End-User Certificate from the Office of the National Security Adviser. Major General Usman expressed that this exchange further strengthens inter-agency collaboration between Customs and the Nigerian Army. He emphasized the importance of ensuring that these drones, which can remain airborne for up to three days, do not fall into the wrong hands. The cooperative effort aims to keep such equipment in the possession of authorities rather than criminals.
