The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has warned of a potential nationwide strike over the nonexistence of governing councils in all federal universities nationwide, among other unresolved issues with the Federal Government.
During a press conference at the union's national headquarters in Abuja, ASUU President, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, announced the warning.
ASUU, which noted that the Federal Government disbanded the universities' governing councils in May of the previous year, has urged the public to blame the government for any measures it adopts in response to the government's actions.
