| APPLY: Student Loan Portal Activation on May 24 |
The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has declared the 24th of May, 2024, as the official date for the activation of the student loan application portal.
Mr. Akintunde Sawyerr, the Managing Director of NELFUND, made the announcement in a statement released Thursday evening.
He emphasized that the portal’s launch is a key step in President Bola Tinubu’s pledge to promote accessible and inclusive education for all students in Nigeria.
He stated: “The portal enables students to secure loans to fulfill their educational goals without the burden of financial barriers.”
The announcement, signed by Nasir Ayitogo, the Fund’s Media and Public Relations Lead, mentioned that the portal offers an intuitive interface for students to easily submit their loan applications.
“We urge all qualifying students to seize this chance to invest in their education and aid in the advancement and prosperity of our country,” he added.
He highlighted that students could visit www.nelf.gov.ng to commence their application process and reach out to the Fund for support through email at info@nelf.gov.ng or via their social media channels.
