Finidi George, the head coach, has summoned Kenneth Igboke, the Rangers left-back, to take his place.
Victor Osimhen, the Napoli striker, has been ruled out of Nigeria's forthcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and the Benin Republic.
The Super Eagles' official X platform reports that Osimhen will be absent from the match because of an injury.
Finidi George, the head coach, has summoned Kenneth Igboke, the Rangers left-back, to take his place.
Victor Osimhen, named Africa Player of the Year, is sidelined with an injury and will be out for four weeks. Super Eagles' Coach Finidi George has brought in Enugu Rangers' left-back Kenneth Igboke for the WC qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Rep," the statement said.
With Igboke's call-up, the number of domestic players in the squad rises to three.
The Super Eagles are set to start their camp for the upcoming games this weekend.
The team, which has won the African championship three times, will play host to South Africa at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Friday, June 7.
Afterward, they will head to Abidjan for a match with the neighboring Benin Republic, scheduled three days later.
