| 2024 Hajj: Nigeria Mourns First Pilgrim's Death in Makkah |
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has reported the passing of Tawalkatu Busare Alako, a pilgrim from Kebbi State, in Makkah.
The commission's statement mentioned that the pilgrim passed away on Saturday.
NAHCON’s Chairman/CEO, Malam Jalal Ahmad Arabi, extended his condolences to the Kebbi State Pilgrims’ Welfare Board and the bereaved family, offering prayers for Allah's solace for the family.
The Makkah Office Coordinator, Dr. Aliyu Tanko, conveyed a condolence message to the board officials, headed by Alhaji Garba Takware. The Chairman shared his deep condolences with the family and the Kebbi community, praying for the Almighty Allah to bestow eternal peace upon the departed soul.
Responding, Takware expressed gratitude to the Commission's leaders for their gesture and wished for a successful Hajj Operation.
A special prayer was offered for the departed soul, the other pilgrims, and the nation of Nigeria. Accompanying the Coordinator were the Saudi Liaison Officer, Ustaz Abubakar Lamin, and other staff members.
