Veteran Nollywood Actor Ogunjimi Passes Away

The sad news was announced by fellow Yoruba actor Kunle Afod via his Instagram page, where he expressed that they tried their best but God loves Ogunjimi more

The Nigerian film industry is mourning the loss of veteran actor Ganiyu Oyeyemi, popularly known as Ogunjimi, whose cause of death has not yet been ascertained.

The sad news was announced by fellow Yoruba actor Kunle Afod via his Instagram page, where he expressed that they tried their best but God loves Ogunjimi more.

Afod paid tribute to Ogunjimi, saying, "We tried our best, but God loves you more. May his soul rest in peace. Baba Ogunjinmi, RIP, Sun re oooo".

Ogunjimi's death comes after the passing of another veteran actor, Pa Zulu Adigwe, and follows a series of losses in the Nollywood industry, including Sisi Quadri, Mr. Ibu, Amaechi Muonagor, Andy Best, Jumoke Aderounmu, and Junior Pope.

Ganiyu Oyeyemi, known as Ogunjimi, was a renowned Yoruba actor who played iconic roles as a warlord and wizard in numerous movies.
