The Katsina State Commissioner for Home Security, Dr. Nasir Babangida Mu'azu, described Major Mohammed's death as a great and painful loss, considering his immense contributions to the fight against banditry.
The Katsina State Government and residents are mourning the loss of a brave military commander, Major Mohammed, who was killed by suspected bandits on Thursday. The commander was ambushed and killed at an army camp in Sabon Garin Dan'Ali, Danmusa Local Government Area, while responding to a call for reinforcement in Malali village, Kankara Local Government Area.
The Katsina State Commissioner for Home Security, Dr. Nasir Babangida Mu'azu, described Major Mohammed's death as a great and painful loss, considering his immense contributions to the fight against banditry. The state government had recently awarded him a cash prize of N2 million for his bravery in neutralizing fighters belonging to the notorious bandit, Modi-Modi.
