A happy reunion for Nabeeha’s sisters after abduction ordeal
After being held captive by bandits for more than two weeks, the four surviving sisters of Nabeeha Al-Kadriyah have finally returned to their family. The girls were kidnapped on the night of January 2, 2024, along with their father and brother, in the Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory. Their brother, Alhaji Abdulfatai, was killed by the bandits while trying to protect them. Their father was released to raise the ransom money, but the bandits murdered one of the sisters when he could not meet their demands.
The FCT police command announced today that the girls were rescued from Kajuru forest in Kaduna state on Saturday night, January 20, 2024, after a joint operation with the military and other security agencies. The police spokesperson, SP Josephine Adah, urged the residents of FCT to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the following numbers: 08032003913, 08061581938, 07057337653, and 08028940883.
The uncle of the victims, Sherifdeen Al-Kadriyah, expressed his gratitude to Nigerians for their support and prayers during the difficult and painful time.
