The Kano State Film and Moral Censorship Board, led by Abba El-Mustapha, has banned actress Khadija Mai Numfashi from appearing in any Kannywood film for a period of two years.

Khadija, who is nicknamed Mai Numfashi, was banned from Kannywood movies because of a video she posted on TikTok, which she failed to defend herself for within eleven days, according to the report.

The video made by Mai Numfashi was considered to be against Hausa culture and religion. In the video, Khadija was seen dancing in a way that was deemed inappropriate.
