Aisha Najamu, also known as Aisha Izzar So, is a Kannywood movie industry actress who has vowed to never appear in a movie that would compromise the value of Hausa culture.

The actress made this statement in a special interview with the Daily Trust newspaper.

Aisha Najamu, who hails from Jigawa State, said that her parents were initially opposed to her joining the film industry because of the negative rumors that circulated about it.

She said that she eventually managed to persuade them, and that she has not done anything to make them regret their decision. Aisha Najamu also talked about how she chooses her roles. When asked if she is selective about the movies she agrees to appear in, she nodded and said: “It’s not just about being selective, but also being cautious. We make Hausa movies and we have traditions, morals and religious principles to uphold.”
