A man faces a lawsuit for defaming Hadiza Gabon
Kannywood actress Hadiza Aliyu (Gabon) has filed a lawsuit against Bala Musa, a man who allegedly defamed her. The case is being heard at the Magistrate’s Court on Daura Street in Kaduna State.
According to Hadiza Gabon’s lawyer, Barista Mubarak Sani, his client has suffered verbal abuse and insults from the public because of Musa’s malicious actions. He also said that many people on social media have accused Gabon of being a witch who took Musa’s money and rejected his marriage proposal, which is a false claim.
Musa, however, has denied the allegations through his lawyer, Naira Murtala, as reported by the Daily Nigerian newspaper.
The court’s judge, Shamsudeen Sulaiman, granted bail to Musa on the condition that he finds two trustworthy people who live in Kaduna state and work as public servants to vouch for him. The court adjourned the case until November 15, when Hadiza Gabon will present her witnesses.
