A video of Mal. Shu’aibu Rugu-Rugu has gone viral on social media. In the video, he appeals to his brothers in Rugu-Rugu town, which is part of Tudun-Wada local government in Kano state, to bring him home from Lower Benue village in Makurdi town, Benue state. He wants to return to his hometown so that he can continue his worship.
The Chairman of Tudun-Wada Local Government, Hon. Alhaji Ahmad Tijjani Musa Matata, formed a strong committee to fulfill his request. On Friday, the committee members arrived at the Tudun-Wada Local Government Secretariat and handed him over to the Chairman. The Chairman then took him to his brothers in Rugu-Rugu town.
In his speech, Hon. Alhaji Ahmad Tijjani Musa Matata praised the committee members for their two-day journey to reach Mal. Shu’aibu Rugu-Rugu. He also thanked the representatives of His Majesty the Emir of Kano, Dr. Bashir Ibrahim, and the Emir of Rano, Alhaji Bako Alu, as well as the rest of the community who helped to rescue him. He especially acknowledged the soldiers who were with him in Makurdi and who posted his message online.
The Chairman also reminded Mal. Shu’aibu Rugu-Rugu of the Shahada and urged him to pray and follow his religion at all times. He prayed for God’s blessings and happiness for him and his brothers.
Mal. Shu’aibu Rugu-Rugu also gave a long speech about his life during his separation. He expressed his gratitude to God (SWT), the Chairman of Tudun-Wada Local Government, the committee members, and everyone else who helped him return home. He said he was eager to resume his worship in his hometown.
The committee members included Mal. Dantala Rugu-Rugu, Hon. Umar Ya’u Lawal, Mubasshir Sa’id Tudun Wada, Mal. Ubale Aduniya Karefa, and others.
