I am fortunate to have witnessed the election of Abba Gida Gida, who paid school and exam fees for students. I congratulate myself and the poor people of Nigeria, especially Kano, for choosing him as our governor.
Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir, an Islamic cleric and scholar said that the cost of school fees is one of the current concerns of the people. He praised the governor of Kano, Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf, popularly known as Abba Gida Gida for paying school fees for students from Kano state who are studying at Bayero University. He also commended him for reducing 50% of school fees for students of pre-secondary schools owned by the Kano State Government.
The Islamic teacher recalled the day he said, "Let's trust in God and choose him. I am lucky to have such people."
